My husband and I bought our house about 15 years ago, and he kept it maintained until he passed away 4 years ago. Since then I have had to rely on my son-in-law to keep the house maintained. He is more than happy to do it, but he does not have the time to keep up with both my house and his own. I had 1st Call Home Inspection do a maintenance inspection on my house and they found some small issues, which if left unattended had the potential to be costly. The inspectors noticed that the rubber around the vent pipes on the roof were decayed, which can lead to a leak. They also pointed out that the foundation at the corner of the garage was deteriorating due to water running off the driveway in toward the garage and undermining the foundation. The 1st Call team gave me an electronic report which included helpful pictures and recommendations.

As an elder couple, I think it is important to know of anything wrong with our house. I called 1stt Call Home Inspectors for a maintenance inspection. I was so glad I did, for what they found could have saved our lives! Upon their inspection, they found that our electrical panel had a lot of double tapped breakers, with burn marks and signs of overheating. It turns out that we were living with a potential fire and safety hazard. I called an electrician who recommended that we replace the panel, which will be done in the next few weeks.
